What the markers mean

PF Verified

A real person went there, was treated well, and thought to recommend them. That's the whole test. No seal doesn't mean a grower fell short of anything. It means nobody has made the trip yet.

Someone who isn't me put this one forward. I haven't been, and I'm trusting them, which is the deal, stated plainly rather than buried. Go, and tell me what you find.

The sourcing label

Whether a grower grows what they sell, buys some of it, or imports it. It describes; it never ranks. A family farm that also imports is a different thing from one that doesn't. Not a lesser one.

🌿 Green practices: their words

The farm publishes that it grows without herbicides or pesticides, and claims no certification. Certification costs money and paperwork a one-acre farm often can't spare, which is not the same as growing badly. The badge links to what they said; I haven't inspected anyone's soil.

🌱 Organic: their words

Shown only where a farm says so themselves, and the badge links to where they say it. Organic is a regulated term, and a wrong claim would land on the grower rather than on me, so this site never makes that claim on anyone's behalf.
